Our First Apartment, a Photo Tour

We moved into our apartment in May, I finally took pictures of it around Halloween (with all of our spooky decor out, naturally) and now I am finally posting about it at Christmas time…better late than never, right?!

Peyton and I picked out the cutest 1 bedroom apartment in Nashville at the beginning of May 2020. We toured, applied, were approved and paid the deposit. My best friend from high school lives in the same complex — I was so excited. Until about 4 days prior to move-in, when I looked at Peyton and said “what if we move into the 2 bedroom apartment down the road instead?” … y’all, this poor man.

4 days prior to moving in, we re-applied to a DIFFERENT apartment complex that is a little bit newer (read: we’re the first people living in our unit which is awesome) and that had a 2 bedroom available immediately. We lost our deposit BUT it’s so nice to have so much extra space.

I’m not going to lie to you, living with a boy is WEIRD and I definitely cried when my mom left, but it’s also so fun living with your best friend<3 We are here until the end of next August and I am so happy about it — we are about 15 minutes from my family and less than an hour from Peyton’s, so far enough to be independent but close enough to visit.

Here are a few of my favorite spaces in our first apartment (and yes, we finally have a rug in front of the mirror and it is HEAVENLY…but currently covered in Christmas gifts and wrapping paper LOL. I will also eventually cut the tag off of the Anthro apron ;).
