Most Popular Posts of 2017

There are less than two days left of 2017…WHAT? I don’t know about you, but I feel like this year has gone by so so quickly. With the end of 2017 comes the last post of 2017, so I figured I would be basic and write about what every other blogger in the world is writing about this week. Today, I am going to list the most popular posts I published this year! I am so excited for 2018 and to keep creating content regularly, so be on the look out for a self-improvement post once the new year arrives (don't forget to subscribe to be the first to know when it's posted)!

If you’ve been following Growing Up With Katey since the beginning of the year, you know that this used to be mainly about politics. While renovating the site, I decided to focus more on the positive things in life…aka not politics. That being said, I did keep a few political posts on here and I am sure that they won’t be my last posts about whatever the heck is going on in D.C.

TOP 3 MOST POPULAR POSTS OF 2017

3. Sorority Girl Stereotypes Aren't True!!! I wrote this post back in September, right before experiencing formal recruitment as a recruitment counselor. I think this is a super important post because Greek life doesn't always get the greatest press thanks to a handful of idiots.

2. Disliking Trump Doesn't Make Me a Brat, a Horrible Person, or a Bad Christian This post was in response to a few uncles telling me what an awful person I am for not worshipping the new president. Fun fact: I actually started this blog in an effort to not respond to their degrading political comments LOL.

1. Yeah, You're a Feminist! And Here is Why was my most popular post of 2017. I was so nervous to post this on social media because it was in response to an Odyssey article about how 'real women' aren't feminists (blah blah blah) that friends of mine kept sharing. This was never meant to be a response to those friends, but I was so nervous they would think it was. A few hours after sharing this on facebook and twitter, I had friends (who had shared the Odyssey article!!!) texting me and commenting on my post saying "maybe I am a feminist after all!" Because of that, this is by far my favorite/most rewarding post of the year.

BONUS POSTS: These were both tied for fourth, so if you're tired of political posts and want a fun article to cheer you up, check out Los Angeles Loving: Spring Break Recap and Forever a Georgia Peach :-)
