Palm Springs!
Let’s rewind to 2018 - P and I went to Palm Springs for the first time. We were instantly obsessed.
We stayed at a small boutique hotel, La Serena Villas, and enjoyed every second of our visit. Champagne when you check in, shots of tequila and snacks waiting in your room, bikes you can borrow to get around town, a cozy fireplace AND a bathtub on your private patio…it is truly a place dreams are made of.
We went back for Memorial Day weekend and had the absolute best time, so let me share a few our favorite stops with you! We flew into LAX and then flew home out of PSP so we could enjoy our favorite LA spots before roadtripping to the desert - it’s not the shortest drive, but I think it makes the trip so much more fun and you get the full experience.
LA:
Urth Caffe: … no words. This has been my #1 favorite in California since my first trip to LA in high school, and it truly seems to just get better every time? We fueled up with a yummy lunch and grabbed a mini hazelnut cake to take to Palm Springs!
Erewhon: I’m clearly easily influenced, so I 1000% had to try the Hailey Bieber smoothie. It was not bad, but their orange juice was the star of the show! We grabbed a few snacks for the drive and I started to grab a reusable grocery tote, but at $138 P said absolutely not :/
The Pump Station: this trip, coined our ‘make a baby trip,’ required some sort of baby store visit - funny enough, I found a JellyCat stuffed animal (that I have never seen anywhere else) that looks identical to my childhood Build a Bear that I took everywhere with me and still have! We had to buy it for our future baby and it now sits proudly in Roosy boy’s room.
Palm Springs:
Farm: I think it would be criminal to visit Palm Springs and not book a reservation at Farm! This was the perfect spot to reflect on our trip over lemon drop shots the last night we were in town.
Koffi Central: we rode our bikes to this yummy coffee shop and they had a frozen chai (my go-to). The views from their patio are insane!
Sherman’s Deli & Bakery: Elvis’ favorite, pastrami on rye, is a MUST EAT - but one could easily feed your whole family…and don’t get me started on their cakes, so good!
Azucar: La Serena’s built in restaurant - we loved by the pool and ordering as room service while hanging out on the patio.
We took a day trip to Joshua Tree and it was absolutely beautiful. We stopped at Trader Joe’s to pick up picnic supplies and then explored the park - there were far too many snake holes, but it was well worth the drive!
