NYC + Tea at The Plaza

I lived out my Eloise dreams at The Plaza earlier this month and it was everything you could imagine and more, so I wanted to share a few trip highlights! I have been to NYC a handful of times so I have a pretty good idea of what I have to do every single trip, but it was fun mixing in new experiences!

Peyton and I spent a long weekend in New York City with his youngest brother, his older sister and her fiancé and it was SO much fun! We arrived a day early and walked around the financial district before our early Valentine’s Day date in Brooklyn - so special<3

  • Picnic in Central Park: We grabbed chili dogs from a Nathan’s cart, a Diet Coke and macarons from the Laudurée pop-up - so casual but so fun. Saw lots of cute dogs!

  • Alexander Hamilton’s grave: P’s main request of the trip

  • Tea at The Plaza: AH! Peyton’s sister and I had a girls afternoon out and it was SO much fun. We drank so much tea, ate scrumptious sandwiches and treats and people watched. After tea, we walked around the hotel and found an Eloise gift shop - 6 year-old KT was living in a dream.

  • Chanel: At the beginning of last year, I told myself that if I could hit a very big freelance goal I had between January 2022 and January 2023, I would reward myself with a Chanel purchase. Making the purchase on Madison Ave. was so special.

  • Veselka: Possibly mine and P’s favorite restaurant in all of New York. My mom was raised on pierogies so naturally they were my #1 favorite food growing up. Turns out Peyton was also raised on pierogies, so we love finding authentic Polish/Ukrainian places to try them.

  • Funny Girl on Broadway: Lea Michele! So freaking good.

  • Patsy’s: Peyton’s sister found Frank Sinatra’s favorite restaurant, so of course we had to go. Yum!
