3 Simple Ways to Style Swimmies

HEY PALS.

This is going to be a real short, sweet and to the point post. I’ve been at the beach this week and I’mma be honest…packing for this trip was HARD. Lately (if you’ve followed me for a while, you def know), I’ve been dressing a lot differently. It’s not that I wasn’t putting effort into looking nice before, but I wasn’t really putting effort into expressing myself through clothes…if that makes sense ? Like I would go to the mall, walk into American Eagle and pick out a shirt that I’m sure at least 6 other girls in my sorority had. I would wear it with jeans and cute shoes and it would look cute, but it looked so dang basic. When I’m shopping now I gravitate more towards different stuff that I don’t think a lot of people will have. I love thrift shops, I love shopping in the old lady section of stores and I love digging through my mom’s clothes from when she was younger. When I get dressed in the morning, I want to be wearing something with a little personality. DISCLAIMER: I 110% do not feel this way when going to class. I absolutely still wear XL tshirts and norts.

BUT ANYWHO, I’ve just been working harder on having ~fun~ with what I’m wearing! So when I was shopping for last minute beach essentials, I really tried to be extra and I just had fun with it. So after hours of popping into every store I could think of and searching instagram for some Inso, I discovered some bomb beach styles for y'all. My claim to fame is that my bff who is interning in NYC with a fashion pr company (who is the most fashionable person I know irl) stole one of my outfits. Also -- under boob is so in rn and it's so comfy.

Real quick I’m going to highlight my favorite looks!

-SCARFS AS SHIRTS...you get to decide how scandalous or how modest you wanna be and it's awesome (so easy and simple yet it makes you look like a genius).
-SILK WRAP THING...I'm gonna be honest I don't even know what this is (I'm referring to the blue thing), but I love it...it's super airy and lightweight and it looks fancy.
-DENIM JACKETS...a staple at home and on the beach.
