My Do-or-Die Winter Necessities

I don’t know about y’all, but winter is brutal for me. My skin seems to dry out so so bad the second it drops below 50 degrees, so the last few years I’ve been making an effort to be as prepared as possible so I can avoid the cracked and bleeding hands and lips.

Since it’s taken me a few years to find those products, I wanted to save you guys the struggle and share the winners!

  • Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion: This is my holy grail above all else. I have tried so many expensive hand creams and moisturizers, but nothing works as well as the basic drugstore lotion. I lather this on every night so it can moisturize all night and I wake up with the smoothest hands (and they haven’t cracked yet this season!).

  • Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: I put this on every single night before bed and am shocked at how soft and smooth my lips are when I wake up. We sleep with the fan on which can be so drying, but since I started using this about a month ago I feel so refreshed. I have it in ‘Sweet Candy’ and it’s not an overwhelming scent/flavor which I love.

  • Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm: I talked about this in my Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide, but it’s my holy grail lip product. I literally have multiple at a time — one in my purse, one in my car, one on my desk and one in my bathroom. I am not a big lip gal but I reach for this at least a dozen times a day.

  • Kopari Hydrating Coconut Lip Gloss: Like I said, I’m not a huge lip gal. If I’m doing a full face of makeup and need something more than the Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm I put this on top for an effortless shine.

  • L’Occitane Hand Cream: Just like the lippe balm, I have the small L’Occitane hand creams scattered everywhere. It’s my favorite day-time lotion because it feels so thin going on, but it’s definitely heavy enough to be moisturizing.

  • Mer-Sea Hand Cream: This was a cheap impulse purchase at Anthropologie last winter but y’all…it’s SO hydrating.
