Nashville Explorations

This summer, P and I tried to have as many fun dates that weren't the usual type for us. After setting out, we went straight to downtown Franklin to hit up the shops on Main Street. While there, we browsed around a couple boutiques hoping to find outfits for Recruitment (with no luck lol) before going into White’s Mercantile. For those of you not familiar with the eclectic shop, it is literally the coolest store. They offer one of a kind/handmade items, as well as more mainstream handbags and clothing. Their Franklin location had a large variety of quirky cards and postcards, so P suggested that we buy each other a card to celebrate dating for 9 months. Around the time we started getting serious, P wrote me a love letter and it has since become our "thing," and it is my absolute favorite thing in the world!

After picking out handmade cards to gift each other, we headed to the Natchez Trace Trail Bridge. I discovered this spot about a year ago when a singer/songwriter I was photographing mentioned the idea of doing some shots there. It’s about 5-10 minutes from Loveless Café and an absolutely beautiful sight. The view on the bridge is spectacular, but driving through all of the greenery to get there is even more gorgeous. P and I of course took a few too many pictures here (before he tried pushing me off the bridge)!

For lunch, we went to Bartaco on 12 South. Bartaco is one of my favorite restaurants and it is also the place we had dinner at the night P asked me to be his girlfriend at Love Circle (aww). The décor both inside and outside is inspired by the beach and the intimate restaurant offers fresh-squeezed juices + sodas from Mexico to go with their high-end street food. The best part about Bartaco is that they have multiple locations, so you can visit them wherever you are! After stuffing our faces with guacamole and grilled street corn, we walked through a few shops and enjoyed some complimentary sweet tea at Draper James.

To end the day, we headed to First Tennessee Park to catch a Nashville Sounds game. This was our first professional game together and it was so fun!! We ate nachos and waffle fries and ice cream and now I am starting a diet, hahaha!
